Datacenter Security Officer · Dublin, Ireland

Everyone goes home safe. That’s the job.

I protect what matters.

The cloud lives in real buildings. Who keeps them safe?

I’m Mohamed Sadik, a Datacenter Security Officer with Securitas Security Services. Every shift, I work inside a live, mission-critical data centre in Dublin — keeping people, hardware and the site secure through strict access control, safety checks and clear procedures.

I.My story

Behind every quiet shift is a story.

Most people never see the buildings that keep the cloud running. I work inside one every day. Since March 2025, I’ve been a Datacenter Security Officer with Securitas, helping to keep a live, mission-critical data centre safe and secure — and following the strict procedures that keep everything online.

Good security is the reason nothing goes wrong: the right people through the right doors, every checklist followed, every incident written up clearly. I supervise a team of up to nine, and I provide first-line troubleshooting for IT, printer and access-control issues in support of the SOC team.

My background is in computing. I completed a BSc in Computing with IT Management at TU Dublin, and interned as a software engineer at SAP, where I helped build a full-stack scheduling app and supported the team’s server infrastructure. Along the way I also provided technical support to customers and agents at MoneyGram, worked in compliance for Western Union and Ria Money Transfer, and managed a store. Now I’m building on that foundation with CompTIA A+ and Security+, plus Microsoft SC-900 and AZ-900.

“Calm under pressure. Clear when it counts. Consistent every single shift.”
